We are a leading provider of innovative IT solutions, specializing in managed services, cybersecurity, compliance, and cloud technologies. With a strong focus on bridging business needs with cutting-edge advancements, we serve a diverse range of industries including associations, financial institutions, nonprofits, professional service firms, government contractors, enterprises, hospitality, retail, and healthcare. Our team of engineers, designers, programmers, architects, and visionaries is dedicated to transforming challenges into opportunities, optimizing operations, and driving growth through strategic IT implementations. We pride ourselves on building strong partnerships with top technology providers and fostering an environment where innovation meets precision to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Director/Leader to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in enhancing our cybersecurity offerings. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who has hands-on experience in the trenches of cybersecurity operations and has successfully transitioned into a leadership role. You will be at the forefront of interacting with a variety of clients to address their security needs, while also supporting internal teams and contributing to the sales of our cybersecurity servicesโ€”one of our core product lines. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to conduct audits, provide strategic guidance, and build lasting relationships. Open to remote candidates, this opportunity offers the chance to lead in a collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact client success and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee cybersecurity initiatives, including conducting comprehensive security audits for clients across multiple industries to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Interact directly with diverse clients to understand their unique security challenges, provide expert consultations, and ensure our services align with their business objectives and regulatory requirements (such as FFIEC for financial institutions or NIST 800-171 for government contractors).
  • Support internal teams by developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, policies, and best practices to safeguard our operations and enhance service delivery.
  • Act as a key representative in client-facing scenarios, including presentations, workshops, and sales discussions to promote and sell our cybersecurity services, demonstrating how they can optimize security postures and drive efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and sales professionals, to integrate cybersecurity into broader IT solutions, ensuring seamless implementation and ongoing support.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends to proactively advise clients and internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on technical and leadership skills to build a high-performing cybersecurity unit.
  • Contribute to the development of cybersecurity products and services, including customizing offerings for specific client needs and participating in strategic planning for future innovations.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in cybersecurity, with at least 8-10 years of experience, including hands-on roles in the trenches (e.g., incident response, penetration testing, or network security) followed by progression into leadership positions managing teams or projects.
  • Strong technical proficiency in areas such as security audits, vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FFIEC), and tools for cybersecurity monitoring and response.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teamsโ€”being personable, approachable, and capable of translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, including supporting sales efforts by demonstrating cybersecurity value and building trust through consultative interactions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating virtually with distributed teams.
  • Passion for innovation in IT security, with a forward-thinking mindset to address both current and future challenges.
