What You'll Do
As IT Support Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive IT technical support and desktop assistance to staff across various locations, including the New York City area. You will manage audio/visual (A/V) support for corporate meetings and events. This includes setting up and maintaining video conferencing systems, projectors, microphones, and other A/V equipment, ensuring smooth execution of presentations and virtual communications.
Your responsibilities will include:
Set Up & Installation
Provide A/V setup and technical support for meetings, conferences, and presentations, ensuring smooth operation of equipment such as video conferencing systems, projectors, and microphones.
Mount, rack, install and support a complex Data closet to included switches, routers, and access points.
Work with ISPs to coordinate new installs, moves, and terminations.
Technical & Operational Support
Deliver IT and A/V support excellence across all levels of the organization.
Ensure seamless functionality across all technical resources, e.g. - assisting in maintaining data centers, overseeing network systems, and coordinating with service providers for system installations and relocations. You will also be responsible for documenting and advancing process improvements within IT operations
Support and advance process improvement.
Documentation
Document IT procedures and contribute to continuous process improvements.
You're a great fit for this role if you have:
Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in business, computer science, or related field; or 3+ years commensurate experience supporting current technologies and systems.
Microsoft/CompTIA Certifications.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of Helpdesk and support metrics.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and network troubleshooting, including cabling and hardware diagnostics.
Strong network troubleshooting skills to include network cabling, termination, and troubleshooting.
Comprehensive IT and A/V expertise, including experience with setting up and troubleshooting video conferencing systems, projectors, and other audio/visual equipment.
The ability to navigate complex and/or difficult situations and bring about positive resolutions within the scope of responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of IT operations and support processes, including system installations, hardware configurations, and network troubleshooting.
Familiarity with helpdesk and support metrics, ensuring efficient response times and high customer satisfaction.
Ability to manage operational tasks such as maintaining data center equipment, coordinating with ISPs, and ensuring smooth network and service installations.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
Strong organizational, administration, presentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written) with excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000/yr
