The Senior Manager, Cloud Architecture & Engineering will support  the Firm’s hybrid infrastructure modernization strategy by integrating on-premises environments with secure, scalable cloud platforms.  This role owns cloud strategy, governance, and value realization across the enterprise.  The Senior Manager is responsible for a high-performing cloud engineering team and leads cloud architecture lifecycle management, automation, and operational transformation to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant cloud operations.

The Senior Manager, Cloud Architecture & Engineering will manage the shift from legacy infrastructure and fragmented ecosystems to a scalable and secure operating model that delivers measurable business value.  The Senior Manager drives the enterprise-wide modernization of cloud infrastructure and defines and executes a multi-year enterprise cloud strategy.  The Senior Manager, Cloud Architecture & Engineering is versed in the concept of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to scale and deploy infrastructure across various environments.

This role works cross functionally with engineers, information security, knowledge management, data science, information governance and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance.  The Senior Manager, Cloud Architecture & Engineering will work in ‘lock step’ with the Associate Director, Orchestration & Automation to drive alignment on key decisions, timelines, and strategic priorities.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Align cloud implementations with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop scalable cloud governance frameworks
  • Drive automation strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Standardize deployment pipelines and environment management.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and enterprise security standards.
  • Operations Management (including incident, problem, and change monitoring)
  • Promote a culture of accountability and transparency with clear line of sight to goals
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence
  • Demonstrate ability to manage deadlines involving multiple functions
  • Think critically and make quick decisions to address Firm challenges effectively
  • Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in adapting to changing needs and priorities

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business or a related field or complimentary equivalent work experience

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, business or a related field or complimentary equivalent work experience

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale cloud migrations, cloud engineering, or enterprise architecture.
  • 3-5 years managing teams in a managerial and/or architectural capacity.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Experience deploying Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to work with incomplete data or seemingly open-ended questions and translate into actionable analysis
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills

Salary Information

NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000 at the time of posting.

The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
