 Would you like to work for a provider based HealthTech company focused on leveraging AI to transform the behavioral health sector?  This growing company is an innovator in patient engagement and care coordination driving positive patient outcomes.

Do you have a Data Science background with a focus on leveraging LLM’s, NLP and cloud based serverless architecture?  This HealthTech company is looking for a Sr AI Engineer to lead the development of an AI-driven behavioral health platform that transforms care coordination and patient engagement. This role combines technical leadership in software engineering with advanced data science to create scalable solutions for clinical data integration and AI model deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and build a cloud-native platform using AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, Postgres, EventBridge) to unify patient engagement tools, clinical workflows, and AI-driven insights
  • Implement ML Ops pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring, leveraging DataBricks and modern Python frameworks (Pandas/Polars)
  • Integrate LLM APIs (e.g., HuggingFace, OpenAI) for natural language processing (NLP) in patient-provider interactions
  • Design ETL processes to normalize structured/unstructured data from EHRs, wearables, and patient-reported outcomes
  • Develop reusable data transformation modules for behavioral health-specific use cases
  • Create developer-friendly abstractions for AI features (e.g., risk stratification and prediction models, engagement nudges)
  • Partner with clinical teams to translate behavioral health workflows into technical requirements
  • Establish governance processes for model definitions in compliance with healthcare regulations

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years experience of production AWS Serverless architectures
  • 5+ years Python data ecosystems 
  • 5+ yeas ML deployment tools (e.g. MLflow)
  • Expertise in healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and security protocols (HIPAA) dealing with EHR clinical data (Epic and Oracle Health)
  • Background working with patient engagement based software and clinical workflows
