Introduction

We are looking for a full-time remote IT Support Specialist to join a growing U.S.-based company. In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for both internal teams and clients, assisting with technical issues and ensuring smooth IT operations. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining systems, and providing hardware and software support. The ideal candidate is proactive, tech-savvy, and focused on delivering excellent customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide first-level IT support via email, phone, and remote desktop tools.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.

  • System Maintenance: Assist in configuring, updating, and maintaining systems, software, and hardware.

  • User Support: Guide users through technical issues and offer basic training on tools and platforms.

  • Escalation: Identify complex problems and escalate them to specialized technical teams as needed.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions using a ticketing system.

  • Software Installation: Support new software deployments and updates for optimal system functionality.

  • Network Management: Assist with network troubleshooting, connectivity issues, and minor server maintenance.

  • Incident Reporting: Analyze recurring issues to help prevent future technical problems.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a fast-paced or customer-facing environment.

  • Previous experience supporting international clients and working remotely is a plus.

  • Proficient in Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

  • Experience with remote desktop tools, ticketing systems, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs).

  • Strong understanding of hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).

  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Strong analytical thinking, independent problem-solving skills, and a customer-first mindset.

Package & Remuneration

  • Compensation: $1,000 – $2,000 USD per month, depending on experience.

  • Paid twice monthly under an independent contractor agreement.

  • Long-term remote role with growth opportunities.
