The Role

As a Consultant, you work with full technical independence. You design and own complex pipelines and data models, work directly with client stakeholders, and help less experienced engineers grow. You are a trusted technical voice on the engagement.

What You'll Do

• Design and build complex pipelines, data models, and integrations with minimal oversight.
• Turn client requirements into technical designs and estimates for your area of the work.
• Work directly with client stakeholders: run working sessions, present progress, and manage expectations.
• Review code and support Analysts and Associate Consultants on your team.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and cost of the platforms you build.
• Spot client problems we could help solve and raise them with your engagement lead.

What You Bring

Must Have

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Production experience with SQL, Python, and Spark or dbt, plus an orchestration tool such as Airflow.
• Depth in at least one cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and one data platform (Snowflake or Databricks).
• Experience working directly with business or client stakeholders.
• Experience reviewing code or mentoring other engineers.

Nice to Have

• An associate- or professional-level certification such as AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate, Google Professional Data Engineer, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate, or SnowPro Core. If you don't have one yet, we fund it.
• Experience with a second cloud or data platform.
• Data pipelines for ML or AI use cases.
• Prior consulting experience.
