- Develop interactive dashboards and automated reporting in Power BI
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and auditability of royalty data across multiple sources
- Implement and maintain orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring; ensure pipelines are idempotent, observable, and recoverable
- Partner with royalty accounting teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Data Integration & Automation
- Build and maintain API integrations with third‑party platforms (e.g., DSPs, royalty systems, accounting software)
- Build automated reconciliation between source statements and warehouse data, with alerting on variance thresholds
- Automate recurring data ingestion, validation, and reconciliation processes
- Establish data quality checks (completeness, uniqueness, referential integrity, control totals); own remediation workflows for failed checks
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability
Technical Analysis & Insight
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, variances, and anomalies
- Support forecasting, statements, and client reporting with robust data models
- Improve data governance, documentation, and quality controls
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work cross‑functionally with accounting, IT, and client service teams
- Recommend system enhancements and process improvements
- Maintain pipeline code in Git with peer review, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment
- Serve as a technical subject‑matter expert within the royalty management group
Qualifications
- 6-9+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data‑driven roles (royalty, finance, or media strongly preferred)
- Advanced experience with Power BI, including DAX and data modeling
- Hands‑on experience working with APIs, data connectors, and automated data feeds
- Strong understanding of relational data structures and financial datasets
- Experience with SQL and/or other query languages
- High attention to detail, with strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data automation
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights
- Experience with Azure, Snowflake, or other cloud data platforms
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience in royalty accounting, music, entertainment, publishing, or intellectual property
- Familiarity with royalty systems (e.g., Curve, Vistex, MetaComet, or similar)
- Experience working in a professional services or business management environment
